I finally visited the Spice Room in Columbia City for dinner. I really enjoyed the phad bai kaplau and phad see ew. The ambiance there was very nice, with flowy curtains, nice lighting and beautiful art to feast the eyes.

I had the pleasure of meeting one of the co-owners and in speaking to him I learned that much of the furnishings in the restaurant came from Thailand. He explained to me that the nice wooden tables came from a single tree in Thailand. Impressive. Good food, atmosphere and service never goes out of style; I love Thai food and I thoroughly enjoyed the Spice Room.

On my way back home I stopped over at Lottie’s Lounge across Rainier Ave and indulged in old school Rainier beer. You can’t go wrong with domestic beers at the happy hour price of $2! :)
